The Full Story
What we envisioned and then realized is an innovative walking stick for visually impaired people. The stick has three high-tech sensors that detect obstacles in a radius that is adjusted to the needs of the operator. The sensors then give instructions to the device's brain, which in turn translates them, giving acoustic (via loudspeaker or Bluetooth headset) and sensors (via a special hand-held processor) instructions to the person holding it.
Our product is environmentally friendly since it is entirely made of recyclable materials such as aluminum and plastic and its electronic components do not emit radiation waves that could be harmful to the environment and burden the user. It is extremely lightweight, easy to use and at a very affordable price.
